Roots of Health: Holistic Herbalism & Nutrition

Holistic Herbal Practitioner- Level One

Course Summary

Engaging with nature allows us to deeply nourish and enhance the health of our body, mind and spirit in ways that are life supportive and regenerative.  Plants communicate with us in healing and energetic ways that bring us a sense of place and knowing.  They gently lead our bodies into balance through our natural affinity for plant medicine that has spanned thousands of years.

The Roots of Health: Holistic Herbalism & Nutrition program trains you to become a Holistic Herbal Practitioner.  There are three levels to this program.  The first level provides the foundational education that will provide you with a strong background in herbal medicine and nutrition allowing you to provide your community with the information they need to reach optimal health and wellness.  The second level will build on knowledge gained in the first level by delving into the remaining body systems among other topics.  The third level will focus on clinical and assessment skills, including case study practicums.

You can find the level one syllabus here which outlines everything that will be covered:  Holistic Herbal Practitioner- Level One Syllabus

Holistic Herbal Practitioner- Level Two will be enrolling in September 2025.

Level One is a six-module online course that can be done at your own pace. There will be monthly live Q&A/classes that will be recorded if you are unable to attend live. To receive a certificate of completion you will need to complete six assignments and a final exam. Please note these are not mandatory. However, completing them is required if you would like to take level two. It is estimated that each module will take between 20-30 hours per month to complete. This will vary from person to person.

The first three modules are available for the level one course with the remaining to be added by the end of February 2025.
